Recognizing the importance of informal discussions and round table exchanges in driving innovation and collaboration, we are thrilled to announce the inaugural BIM Invitational Meetup, a reimagining of how professionals find industry insights.
BIM Invitational Meetup is not a typical conference. It is a series of informally structured discussions and is an event focused on facilitating conversations between peers. We've heard too many times that “the best part of the conference was talking between sessions”. Now, those conversations are their own “conference”. At the Invitational, we're looking for collaborative insights, not classroom instruction. There are plenty of places to learn a specific task. We aim to provide a platform where industry experts, practitioners, and enthusiasts can come together in an intimate setting to share ideas, experiences, and challenges. Join a community where you are not alone in your position, where those in similar roles and responsibilities meet with peers and colleagues.
At the BIM Invitational Meetup, the value lies in the depth and quality of conversations rather than the scale of presentations. Our agenda is curated to include a variety of conversations covering a wide range of topics relevant to the AEC industry. Our attendees are peers who will provide different and thoughtful experiences to learn from. Ranging From innovative construction techniques to sustainable design practices to BIM and Revit management, attendees can delve into niche subjects, explore emerging trends, or something in between – all in a collaborative environment.
Why Now?
With the cancellation of BILT NA, we saw the opportunity to both help fill that gap in many of our friends’ professional development schedules, but also to launch something we've been talking about for a number of years. The Invitational is in no way aiming to be a direct replacement for the excellent programming that DBEI has put on (and hopefully will again), but as an adjunct to the typical conference schedule where we all battle for the popular classes and are forced to abandon a great discussion to make it to the next box to tick off on our list.
